Above and beyond providing technology services, Damu Sasa has also been actively involved in beneficial community activities. These include the following:
1. Blood donation drives:
Damu Sasa introduced new ways of mobilizing blood donors, especially through its mobile applications. That has enabled Damu Sasa regularly partner with other corporate organizations across the country, to run blood drives, with the main aim of increasing blood volumes in hospitals and recruiting more regular and voluntary blood donors. 2. Blood donor education:
Some of the greatest shortfalls of regular and voluntary blood donation are the myths and misconceptions surrounding the space. As a result, most potential blood donors shy away from donating blood, due to fear of the unknown. Accordingly, Damu Sasa, working with professionals from various backgrounds, embarked on curating educative material meant to both debunk and inspire potential blood donors to show up to donate blood. 3. Advocacy for the improvement of blood services management across the country:
Damu Sasa has constantly been at the forefront of advocating for improved blood services in Kenya. We have constantly and consistently aired our views on how such improvements can be achieved, in newspaper publications, media engagements and speaking at conferences.
